I've compiled a list of the top ten things that quality hearing clinics do.  Does your local hearing clinic pass the test?  Many hearing clinics fail the grade.  If you feel your hearing clinic doesn't meet some or all of these quality standards you might want to consider a quality, independent hearing clinic.

Violins, Hearing Aids, and Those Who Use Them

​For as long as I can remember, playing the violin has been a major part of my life.  Although I've never considered myself to be a great player, I have achieved a certain level of proficiency that has opened doors for me to play great musical works, to perform from time to time, and to teach the instrument to others.

My musical journey with the violin has taught me many things.  I'd like to share one of those thoughts with you today and explain how it relates to quality hearing clinic services.

Hi again, folks.  For this post, I've decided to focus on a lower-level, practical topic and a fundamental part of the traditional hearing test battery - "Word Recognition Testing (WRT)".

If you have ever participated in a hearing test and have been asked to repeat single syllable words with prompts like "say the word love" or "say the word burn", then you've participated in a word recognition test.  The purpose of this test is to measure, in terms of a percent, your optimal ability to process speech in a quiet setting.  In addition to performing the test for each individual ear, some clinics also perform the test binaurally (for both ears simultaneously).
