The Solution:  Helping IHCC Improve Hearing Care in Canada

At Independent Hearing Clinics of Canada (IHCC) we have a solution for addressing certain challenges within the Canadian hearing aid industry.  We hope our efforts will result in improved trust, quality, and value for hearing aid consumers across Canada, and you can help.  If you share our vision of a better tomorrow and believe change is possible, please continue reading to learn how you can participate.

What is IHCC Doing Right Now?

IHCC has identified close to 150 independent hearing aid clinics across Canada.  We encourage hearing aid clinics to continue to integrate proven best practices and ethical standards into their day-to-day operations.  These clinics share our values of trust, independence, transparency, objectivity, fair pricing, and quality-focused services.

Manufacturer owned companies and other corporate interests are taking over the hearing aid industry.  By offering independent clinics an alternative strategic path, rather than accepting corporate takeover or sacrificing quality to reduce costs, we help them thrive and keep high quality services alive and well for those with hearing loss in the Canadian marketplace.

How Can You Help?  Three Simple Steps...

Step #1:  Public Education and Awareness

If you feel this website has been a valuable resource for you, please consider sharing HearingClinics101.org on Facebook, Twitter, email, or through word-of-mouth with those that would benefit.  It's only through public awareness that positive change can happen.

We offer various resources for the benefit of the hearing aid consumer such as:
  • Hearing Clinics 101:  Raises awareness and proposes solutions for the many issues within the hearing aid industry in Canada.
  • Find a Clinic:  Offers a directory and searchable map of independent hearing clinics in Canada.
  • Hearing Aid Ratings:  Features pricing for popular makes/models, along with IHCC "Value Ratings", which combine both consumer satisfaction ratings with hearing solution cost and quality of service considerations.
  • IHCC Standards Checklist:  Provides a consumer checklist which helps those with hearing loss obtain the best hearing care possible.
  • References:  Shares various eye-opening, informative resources provided by other organizations.

Please make use of these important resources.  Share them with those who you feel would benefit.

Step #2:  Support Your Local IHCC Clinic

By supporting your local, independent hearing clinic, you reward the virtues of trust, quality, fair pricing, and objectivity in the Canadian hearing aid industry.  We continue to work with independent clinics to fully integrate best practices, along with other ethical considerations, into their day-to-day operations.  By supporting these clinics you support the efforts of IHCC.

Step #3:  Encourage Your Local Independent Hearing Clinic to Join IHCC

Is your local hearing clinic an IHCC clinic?  Do they know about IHCC?  Do they share our core values of quality, objectivity, trust, and value?  If so, we're always looking for new quality-focused hearing clinics to join our network of clinics across Canada, and it's free to join.

Immediate member clinic benefits include the following:
  1. Lowered marketing costs by attracting local clients.
  2. Increased competitive advantage through marketing existing strengths.
  3. Improved ability to attract emerging market segments.
  4. Higher client satisfaction rates through increased quality and value.
